Manningtree & District Photographic Society aims to provide an enjoyable environment for members to enjoy the development of their photographic skills through a variety of activities in the company of like-minded people.
Membership of the society is open to individuals who wish to improve their knowledge, skills and enjoyment of the art of photography.
There is a broad level of skill within the club, from those that are just starting out to those that shoot at a more professional level.
If you are interested in photography, whether as a beginner, have some experience, or even an expert, you will be warmly welcomed at M&DPS.
Our programme is designed to enhance your understanding and enjoyment of all things photographic and includes practical workshops, talks by highly qualified photographers, photographic competitions (print & digitally projected images) and occasional field trips.
Formed in 2011, the club has a steadily increasing membership who share an interest in improving their photographic knowledge and ability.
Anyone who is interested in photography, or just curious about the society, is welcome to come along and meet the members on any of the society evenings. Members find these evenings beneficial and often take away "another little gem of information" that can be particularly useful for understanding the menus of digital cameras, using your camera to best advantage, processing of the image and the production of high quality prints and digital projected images!
