Our corridor display for September and October is based on our Heritage Open Day exhibition, covering Longridge architecture and significant buildings in the Town
A Lancashire Summer
Our display for August will be covering all that can be found in a 'Lancashire Summer' This display highlights the resorts, attractions and activities that drew the crowds to the seaside in the past and still do today. We also cover the tradition of 'Wakes Weeks' and the various seaside piers that have been (and gone) over the years.
The display is available to view during the Cafe opening hours of 9 till 4 between Monday to Saturday and Heritage Centre staff are available between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Mon - Fri to answer any questions on the display.

Goosnargh & Longridge Agricultural Show
Our current display is covering the Goosnargh and Longridge Agricultural Show, which is being held this year on the 5th July.
These shows have been held for many years and our display will highlight how the events have changed and evolved.

Discounted adult tickets are available from the Heritage Centre until the end of June at a cost of £8 each (£10 on the day), with child tickets at £5 each.

Previous Displays - VE Day 80th Anniversary & Longridge in Wartime
Our current display is on the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day and Longridge in World War II. We have corridor display boards showing aspects of Longridge life during wartime, various artefacts and books of the period.

Our current display is on the history of the Longridge to Preston Railway, with a further exhibition on the 200th anniversary of the UK rail network.

Previous Displays - October 24
Our current display is on the theme of Remembrance and highlights the role of Longridge people in the conflicts of the last century.
It illustrates this by telling the stories of individual servicemen, the campaigns in which they served and the awards they received in recognition.

Previous Displays - October 24
Our current display is an updated history of the Longridge to Preston Railway, covering the period from its opening in 1840 to the final closure and lifting of the tracks in 1968.
The six display boeards cover the full history of ther line, including special events, the rail stock used and the line's place in supporting the devolepment of the textile and quarrying industries in Longridge.

Our latest corridor display is a series of pictures and notes showing Longridge during the Victorian and Edwardian era, with the majority of pictures illustrating scenes between the 1870's to 1914. The pictures are accompanied by notes giving the location and some background to the scenes.
