For those of you planning to go to this please note that Dick has let me know that the big old willow which offered a lot of shade has now sadly gone to the big willow forest in the sky. Dick suggests bringing large umbrellas, hats or other means of getting out of the sun. For those not registered, it’s not too late, just let me know please so I can tell Dick who to expect.

RNLI HQ Tour

13.00 lunch then 14.30 tour
Following the success of previous tours member John Taylor set up another visit, this one looking at the workshop/engineering side of rescue boat building. I have just 2 places remaining and available on a first come, first served basis. Please note that this is in addition to the fully booked 5th October tour.

Sunday 27th September
Slot Car Challenge
Lower Mannington
Sadly the racing scheduled for next Sunday 12th July has been postponed due to the forecast heat wave. The good news is that member Simon Dale-Smith has re-scheduled this for Sunday 27th September. I have started registrations again so, even if you were booked for this coming Sunday, please let me know again if you’d like to join the September race team. Drivers are encouraged to bring their pit crew to spectate.
And Finally:
We welcome new member Robin Hill to our Centre. Robin drives a 2021 Plus Four. Some of you may know Robin from SOGMOG where he is also a member.
