The National Pensioners' Convention 'Pensioners' Manifesto 2015' is an attempt to put the concerns of older people at the heart of the political process and the NPC will call on candidates at the General Election in May to support it's proposals. As part of this national campaign, the Lancaster District Pensioners' Campaign Group intends to lobby candidates in the Morecambe and Lunesdale and the Lancaster and Wyre constituencies. On Saturday 13th December we will be at the rear entrance of the Arndale Centre in Morecambe and in Market Square, Lancaster from 11.00am until 2.00pm. We will hand out copies of the Manifesto and ask people to sign a statement calling on general election candidates to endorse and support it. We will use the signatures collected to impress on candidates the need to take notice of the concerns of older people in the two constituencies.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
If you can spare some time to help on Saturday 13th (either venue) let us know by e-mail (mjnlancs@yahoo.co.uk) or telephone (tel. 01524-61585). Alternatively give a copy of the manifesto to friends, neighbours, relatives, etc. and ask them to sign the statement. Please get all signatures to us as soon as you can in the New Year.
