Reporting Highways issues
Did you know that Essex County Council is responsible for maintaining our roads and footpaths? This includes cutting back overgrown vegetation, fixing damaged footpaths, and repairing potholes. They even have the power to ensure landowners complete works that impede public footpaths and roads.
How You Can Help: If you spot any areas in our parish that need attention, please report them directly on the Essex County Council’s website: https://www.essexhighways.org/
Essex & Suffolk Water - Layer to Langford Pipeline Project
Pipelaying on the project, which runs from Layer-de-la-Haye, Colchester to Langford, Maldon, is now complete. Work continues on the reinstatement of land, as well as testing and the eventual commissioning of the pipeline. The completion of the construction phase is a huge and exciting milestone, and we are grateful for the support and understanding of the communities through which we have been working. For more information see this link: Layer to Langford Pipeline - Essex and Suffolk Water (eswcommunityportal.co.uk)

Neighbourhood Plan 'Made'
The Neighbourhood Plan was made by Maldon District Council at a Council meeting held 31st March 2022 in accordance with Regulation 19 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended). The policies in the Plan can now be given full weight when assessing planning applications that affect land covered by the Plan.
