KRAS is a thriving self-managed allotment site located in Kingston Road, Ewell. The entance is opposite the junction with Shortcroft Road.

At present there are 45 plot holders who work plots of differing sizes including five raised beds used by gardeners with disabilities or restricted mobility.

The day to day running of the site is carried out by an elected committee of plot holders.

All our plots are currently being worked by a very enthusiastic group of gardeners. Our flat/gently sloping site has been cultivated for many years and the soil is fertile clay based loam. Water is supplied by stand pipes situated around the site. We have a community hut, port-a-loo, communal tools and a small parking area for cars and bicycles. We hold one or two social events every year in addition to the Annual General Meeting.

We maintain a waiting list and look forward to hearing from anyone interested in becoming a plot holder. Experience is not necessary but you will need enthusiasm and time to tend your plot. If you would like to join us please contact the secretary on 07766 717282 and your name will be added to the list.

Important Information about using water

From January 2013 the Society will be paying for water used on the site. To keep our water costs down, the use of any type of sprinkler is no longer permitted.

Information on how to save water and grow healthy crops can be found on the notice board in the hut, and in the folder "Documents/Information For Plot Holders"
