2024 Programme

Our planned programme of monthly talks (8pm in the Saloon, Kimbolton Castle unless otherwise notified) for 2024 is as follows:

10 January     - Anthony Withers on The History of Great Staughton

7 February     - Peter Scott (from the Norris Museum) on Bridges, Brewers and Barges (St.Ives) 

13 March       - David Ingham on:  Cows and Crucifixion: a remarkable Roman roadside settlement   at Fenstanton, Cambridgeshire  

24 April          - David Duker on The Wartime Diaries of a Battle of Britain Pilot - Victor Ekins of St.Neots

15 May          - Ian Addis on The Literary History of Northamptonshire

4 September - Nora Butler on William Burn, Kimbolton Castle's Forgotten Architect

9 October      - Esther Bellamy (from Huntingdonshire Archives) on The Manchester Papers                      

6 November  - Roger Leivers on House of Spies - Godmanchester and the S.O.E.

4 December  - Stuart Orme on Did Cromwell really cancel Christmas?

Outings and other events

12 June         - St.Ives Town Tour (6.45 for 7pm)

10 July          - Evening outing to John Clare Cottage (to be confirmed)

The Castle is open to the public twice a year on the first Sunday in November and March between 1-4pm. For details follow the link below:
