Show Report

The Kimble and Ellesborough Horticultural Society Summer Show was held in the Stewart Hall, Little Kimble on Sunday. There were 62 exhibits on the benches provided by 9 members; The competition was very close with only a few points separating the winners from the runners up.

David Ridgway won the Presidents Cup, Rogasa Trophy, the Don Taylor Rose Bowl. Sue Towersey won the Domestic Cup and gained the best in show award for her Lemon Curd Exhibit. Kathy Gray won the Sweet Pea trophy and the National Sweet Pea Society bronze medal.

A large number of visitors viewed the show during the afternoon, committing on the wonderful scent of sweet peas in the hall. Thank you to the ladies who made and served the tea/coffee and cakes during the afternoon.

Thank you from all the Show Committee for all those who helped and entered to make it a wonderful friendly show.
