Kimble and Ellesborough Horticultural Society Autumn Show 2022
The Kimble and Ellesborough Horticultural Society Autumn Show was held in the Stewart Hall, Little Kimble on Sunday 4th September. There were 61 exhibits on the benches. The exhibits were of a very high standard considering what the weather has been like and were provided by 5 members. David Ridgway had a very successful show winning many of the trophies for Vegetables, Fruit and Flowers. John Marshall was awarded the Banksian Medal. He also got the best in show award for the 3 vase Chrysanthemum class, the Chrysanthemum Trophy and National Vegetable Society medal, for his Onions in the over 250gm class. Jenny Summerfield won the Novice Flower Trophy and the Novice Vegetable Trophy. Mary Redding won the Floral Art and Pat Southgate Trophy. Oliver Shefford won the Children’s Cup. There were many visitors during the afternoon, who looked around the show before having a drink and a piece of cake.
