The Kimble and Ellesborough Horticultural Society Autumn Show was held in the Stewart Hall, Little Kimble on Sunday 3rd September. There were 95 exhibits on the benches. The exhibits were of a very high standard considering what the weather has been like, provided by 10 members and well up compared to last year.. David Ridgway had a very successful show winning many of the trophies for Vegetables, Fruit and Flowers. John Marshall was awarded the best in show award for his Broccoli entry in any other veg He also shared the Chrysanthemum Trophy with David Ridgway and won the master class. Mary Redding won the Floral Art and Pat Southgate Trophy. The happiest trophy winner was Dee Powell who won the Primrose Cundell bowl for her novice floral art exhibit and the Novice Flower Trophy. There were many visitors during the afternoon, who looked around the show before having a drink and a piece of cake.
