FUNDRAISING PAGE LIVE!!
You'd be surprised what hidden costs there are for organising fundraing events and applying for grants. So, we've set up a fundraising page for anyone to donate too.
We have a noticeboard on order but as material costs have risen so has our quote for the work. The money we set aside for it isn't quite enough.

A noticboard on the green is another step for Bristol Council to recognise the value of our green space and the need for their investment.

Since Friends of Ilchester Green formed in 2022, there have been multiple voluntary litter picks, path access improvements, bulb planting and events. We have hosted family friend spring and summer events including during the balloon fiesta. A bench and dog bin have been installed. We have secured funding for a football goal post and/or basketball hoop, and are working on improving access to the space, funding a notice board, and getting funding ready for a play park on the open green space.
Plans for 2026
- Summer of Nature
- We are collaborating with other local organisations in BS13 to put on events on our space for the community to enjoy
- On Ilchester Green, this will include
- Teddy Bears Picnic
- Sunrise yoga during the balloon fiesta
- Litter pick
- Ecological survey
- A bat survey is going to be carried out on Ilchester Green as part of a wider BS13 bat survey to better understand the ecology of the area
- Notice board
- We are close to getting enough money for a community notice board on Ilchester Green, which can advertise local events
- Football goal and/or basketball hoop
- Funding for this has been secured, we are awaiting the delivery of this project by Bristol City Council
- Launching playpark fundraising
