The Old Library in Hunmanby

A nostalgic look back at our old library.

Hunmanby's old library still stands on Stonegate. It was purpose built by East Riding Council, through the hard work of the long standing late Miss Owston.

This link is the page on the Hunmanby.com website, an insight into times past

Miss Owston

Bright and airy it was popular with all ages, but the financial cutbacks at North Yorkshire County Council saw its closed in 2012. Here are some photos of the library.
