The Super Mobile Library in Hunmanby helping to reduce social isolation
Hunmanby Mobile Library will still be serving Hunmanby village during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Super Mobile Library will be coming to Hunmanby on a Saturday morning, every 4 weeks. With local residents again being advised to stay at home, due to the 3rd English lockdown. This will restrict access to normal life. There are concerns over social isolation and mental health. A good book is a great way to get away from the constant news reports, magnified when you are stuck at home, even more so if you are alone.

Even if you have not read a book in years, it is a great way both to relax, and help you sleep.
If you are at home, especially alone, the current situation can cause worry and anxiety. Try and limit viewing and listening to the news. The local news tends to be more upbeat. With the efforts being put in by local communities across the country to help.
If you like watching television, one idea is to get the Radio Times, delivered to your door. (through a subscription service or delivered by a volunteer in the village.) Go through the Radio Times and choose the programmes for the week. Especially those which are more positive like Nature Programmes, this then avoids hopping between channels. The Radio Times also offers a good description on each programme on offer.
There is a wide range of support during these difficult times from local organisations, shops, traders.
