Rising Sun Park Run

Park Run takes place at The Rising Sun Country Park every Saturday morning at 9:00 am. It is a free 5k community event for walkers, joggers and even runners! There are many volunteering opportunities too.

Natural History Society of Northumbria

Natural History Society of Northumbria (NHSN) was founded in 1829 and is one of the largest local natural history societies in the UK. It offers a programme of events, educational field-studies courses and a number of citizen science projects. It also manages the Gosforth Nature Reserve (SSI).
