John Baker and June Colley are the owners of the magnificent 'Hanging Hostas of Hampshire' garden and we have had very entertaining talks on Hostas and one of their other favourites 'Lilies' in the past. This time the topic is The Perfume of Plants.
The Perfume of Plants
Why and how plants are perfumed. The types of scent found in plants. How we detect fragrance and how to create your own perfumed garden. How to make perfume products from your garden. Fragrant plants throughout the year. We show pictures of our garden plants and in the summer, we bring samples of the plants to smell. Following the talk June gives a demonstration of a wide variety of plant fragrance with very many small vials of essential oil for you to smell and identify.
