We like this comment from Leane at our recent Craft Fair. It’s your hall - you are the lovely people whether you were there or not.

Thanks to everyone who came along, and to those who ran the stalls of fabulous craft gifts, served tea and cakes and set up, cleared away or otherwise promoted or shared this event. It was a lovely community afternoon full of chat and the joys of it not raining! Special thanks to the Come and Join us group who ran the event which raised funds for St Mary’s Eaton Constantine. It was a bit slow until 2pm but the hall was buzzing soon after.

Make a date in your diary for the ever-popular Christmas village community gathering that is ‘Punch Pies and Carols’ on Friday 8th December. Pre-booking is essential.

With a view to dispelling the late January gloom which follows each Happy New Year our next live music event is with the popular and lively Rock n Roll band Hot Rod 55. Come along and you’ll soon be Shaking All Over. They really are good. We’ll have the usual café style seating and we’ll leave room to dance (a strictly jive or otherwise). There’s no bar so bring your own drinks. At £10 for adults and with under 16s free it’s great value for an excellent local night out. If you haven’t tried one of our music nights, ask around or just come along.

You may be surveyed in the New Year and asked what you’d like from a community hall. Please respond. Even though our hall’s lease is running down the parish council want to know if you lovely people still want a local space or whether that’s not important to you.

Do check the UTW calendar for our regular and special events and remember your hall is available to book. The hall is accessible with kitchen facilities. We have wi-fi and are fully licensed for live and recorded music.
