Eaton Constantine Village HallKeep on Rocking

I’m sure everyone who came along enjoyed our November Jazz night with the marvellous and versatile Band on the Edge. Jazz isn’t just one kind of music as the band proved.  They also rocked and they rolled. And sung and swung. But not the Ding dong merrily type of swinging. For Carol swinging and lots of Christmas fun come along to our annual community Punch, Pies and Carols on  Friday 13th December.

And so forward into 2025. If the Village Hall could talk and have a wish it might well say “All I want for Christmas is another evening with the fabulous Hot Rod 55”.  And yes, they are returning on Saturday 18th January. Keep on Rocking in the New Year. They are a force of nature. Shake, baby, shake.

At the AGM Geoff gave an illustated talk featuring Ranslett House, the Old Post Office and number 19 (now Buttermilk Cottage) exploring family inter-connections between them.  We’re thinking about a open day in the Spring where we can share more information about the village’s houses and history. Please let Geoff know if you are interested in this sort of thing, whether you’d like to help and whether you have any information (e.g. deeds or photographs or memories) to share.

We need to make good use of the Village Hall as we may only have it for the next four years.

Do check the UTW calendar for our regular and special events and remember your hall is available to book. The hall is accessible with kitchen facilities. We have wi-fi and are fully licensed for live and recorded music.
