All meetings start at 7.30pm within Drymen Village Hall.
26th September – Dr Murray Cook (Stirling Council’s archaeologist): illustrated talk, “The Fords of Frew”.
24th October – Bruce Keith (author and historian): illustrated talk: “Scotland Beneath The Surface”.
28th November – Alison Cathcart (Stirling University): “Imperial Monarchy: James V’s Voyage to the Isles”.
25th January – Fraser Hunter (Principal Curator, Iron Age and Roman, National Museum of Scotland): “War and Diplomacy On Rome’s Northern Frontier”.
27th February – Eddie Edmonstone (Duntreath Estate): “The Surgeon General In Wellington’s Army and the Physician To The Tsar of Russia”.
27th March – Ian Newton (historian): “With Shackleton to South Georgia, Elephant Island and the Antarctic”.
25th April – Members’ Night and Annual General Meeting. Talks presented by our members.
Membership is still only £10, or £3 per talk if you’re not a member.
Your membership also supports the village hall, as we rent the lower hall for our meetings.
