Downham Aid
Downham Mutual Aid was set up in 2020 as an emergency response to the Covid 19 pandemic lock down. Since September 2023 Downham Aid now exists as an unincorporated association to mainly provide food support to the Downham and surrounding communities in the form of a social supermarket, in partnership with Brook Lane Community Church called the Gleaning Pantry.
The Gleaning Pantry provides food and household goods which come from various sources: supermarket surplus, donations from FareShare and local people.
