Hi DUGs,
I'm sending next week's email early, as I'm going up to the Findhorn Ukulele Festival from Friday-Monday, so might be a bit busy!
A big thanks to James for putting the playlist together in plenty of time so I could get things prepared before I leave.
James has suggested Fisherman's Blues, by the Waterboys as a new song for the group.
Many of you will remember our good friends Average White Van Band have this on their playlist, and I've always thought it would be a good choice for our group.
Fisherman's Blues is another lovely, simple song to play and sing. It uses a very easy, but beautiful, Am-C-G-F chord progression throughout the whole song.
As always, it is well worth listening to the song beforehand:
There is also quite a good YouTube tutorial that is pretty close to the way I'd like us to play it.
If you get a chance, give it a look:

Loch Lomond Strumday
We only have two more Wednesdays before the Strumday, so I'm going to suggest that all those involved meet at 7.00 next week for a half-hour rehearsal before the main meeting. Don't worry if you can't make it, based on recent weeks, I'm sure there will be enough of us to make it worthwhile.
(Five of us will be performing both songs at Findhorn this weekend, so we'll be able to give you some feedback on how it went).
