Hi DUGs,

Town Break Dementia Support
Wednesday 31 July, 2 pm

So far, I only have three or four of us down to perform.
We don't need a large group, but a couple more would be nice. Please let me know if you can help out.

The setlist will be the same as we played at the Doune and the Dunblane groups.
I will be bringing along song sheets so our audience can sing along with us:

Feelin' Groovy
Jambalaya
Top Of The World
Eight Days a Week
Love Me Do
I'm A Believer
Dedicated Follower of Fashion
I Wanna Be Like You
Bring Me Sunshine
I’m Leaning on a Lamppost
Wild Mountain Thyme
Loch Lomond
Mairi's Wedding
500 Miles

Annual General Meeting
Wednesday 31 July, 7.30 pm

Just a reminder, our AGM will be a week on Wednesday.
We still need at least one more committee member.
I promise this does not need to involve a lot of time/work.
If you think you can help out, please speak to me or John Gallagher.

Doune and Deanston Youth Project Fundraising Event
Friday 20 September, 7.30 pm, Rural Hall

DDYP have asked us to help out with a fundraising evening towards the proposed new Youth Hub.
I will get fuller details to you nearer the time, but we do now have a date.

The Youth Hub will be a significant asset for our community’s young people for generations to come.
Check it out on their website:

Playlist
This week's playlist has been selected by John Gallagher.

John has chosen a new song for us: If I Had a Million Dollars, by Barenaked Ladies.
There's a good chance many of you won't know the song. I hadn't heard of it. But, after listening to it, and playing it through a few times - I love it!

So, it's well worth a listen, if you get a chance:

There is a good play-along video that is almost the same as the version we will be playing:

Big Yellow Taxi
City of New Orleans
Dedicated Follower of Fashion
If I Had a Million Dollars
Man on the Moon
Part of the Union
Meet Me On The Corner
What Was I Made For?
Galway Girl
Texas Hold 'Em

DUG Song Sheets
Now that we are no longer using printed song sheets at our meetings, all new songs will be put on the website, rather than attached to these emails. If you want to practice any of our songs, you can view/download all our songs here: Our Songs
