Hi DUGs,

We'll start again this week by practising our Workshop songs.
Rockin' All Over the World, and I'm a Shotgun are already sounding great.
We'll have another look at that 'hammer' riff in I'm a Believer, but we'll play through the song without it for now.

The song sheet for I Wish It Could Be Christmas is on the website. You will notice a couple of differences in the chords, but I'll explain that on Wednesday.

I'm going to introduce two new songs this week - these will be in our Halloween playlist next week:

Abracadabra, by Steve Miller, has a lovely Am-Dm-E7-Am chord progression throughout the whole song.
How Come, by Ronnie Laine is a nice easy song that is particularly apt for Halloween.

I'm also going to have another look at the Beatles' I Will. We played it last Wednesday, it is a lovely song, but it just tripped us up a little.

Halloween

Don't forget, next week we are having a Halloween theme. Most of the songs are in the Halloween section of the website if you want to get some practice in beforehand. Dressing up is, of course, optional... but fun!

Christmas

We only have SIX Wednesday meetings before our first Christmas performance!
(Two of those will be Workshops with Sarah)
So, we really need to get some practice in.
The song sheets can all be found on the website.

A couple of people have had problems registering for the website's Members' Area.
I am currently speaking with the support team - I'll let you know more on Wednesday
