Hi DUGs,

This week's playlist has been selected by John Gallacher.
John has also suggested a couple of new songs for us to tackle, and the really are classics!

The Boxer. One of the best songs from Bridge Over Troubled Water, Simon and Garfunkel's most successful album.
Shouldn't be too difficult to play, but the timing and phrasing may take some practice.

Lola, by The Kinks. A Ray Davis masterpiece.
This one might take a bit more work.
We will have a couple of new chords to learn:

There is a distinctive intro, and a riff throughout the song which has a nice Eb, F, G run.
This will take a bit of practice, but it sounds great, and will be well worth it, I promise!

B7 is used for just one single strum in the whole song! But it is immediately followed by Em (same shape, just slide across the fretboard).

The biggest challenge for Lola, will be strumming patterns. But nothing we won't be able to cope with.

The song sheets for both are on the website.
Just bear in mind, these may be subject to some revision after we play them through on Wednesday evening.
