Hi DUGs,

Our first half again this week, we will be working on some of the things Sarah left us with.

So, we'll warm up with Rockin' All Over The World, then we can decide which two songs we will play for her at the next workshop.

Remember that she asked us to think about:

1. Strumming patterns - rhythm

2. Separating sections of the song

3. Practicing chords/strumming separately over and over to get the group sounding tight!

Last week, we played Shotgun without the full song sheet in front of us.

We could have another look at the sections of the song... and then practice!

Another song I think we could look at is I'm a Believer.

A nice, easy song with natural section breaks. We could look at the strumming patterns for those.

For the sake of those who will be performing at the Loch Lomond Strumday, we should practice Part of the Union and Western Isles.

We also talked about doing If I Had a Million Dollars in two parts, so let's have a go at that.

After all that, we'll just play whatever you want, so have a favourite or two in mind (Octopus's Garden might be a good one to start with 😉)

Full details for these two events are still being finalised, but please put the dates in your diary.

DUG Song Sheets

Now that we are no longer using printed song sheets at our meetings, all new songs will be put on the website, rather than attached to these emails. If you want to practice any of our songs, you can view/download all our songs here: Our Songs
