Ponds Fun Day
A big thank you to those members who were able to join us on Sunday.
As we know, playing outdoors is not without its challenges but, despite one or two hiccups, we put on a good show.
We also showed off our new music stand banners.
 
 
 
 
Ukulele Workshop
Everyone seemed to enjoy Sarah's first session. I have had a lot of positive feedback.
The session was certainly challenging, but nothing unattainable. 
 
Sarah has asked that, for the next workshop, we work on two songs, thinking about:
 
1. Strumming patterns - rhythm 
2. Separating sections of the song
3. Practicing chords/strumming separately over and over to get the group sounding tight!
 
I propose that in the weeks between the workshops, we spend the first half of our meetings working on what we learned. 
 
So, this week, we will recap playing Rockin' All Over The World, without song sheets (scary!)
We could also try Shotgun, using the same principles.
 
We can then choose which two songs to work on before the next workshop.
I have some ideas, but I would like the group to choose the songs.
