IMPORTANT NOTICE: NO MEETING THIS WEEK
 
Hi DUGs,
There will be no meeting this week (09/07/25).
Jackie and I will be down in Lancashire. John Gallacher, who usually deputises for me, will also be away on holiday.
 
I am attaching Sarah's notes from her workshop on Wednesday, so there are no excuses for not practicing. When we get back together on 16th July, we will be working on both the new songs.
 
My little job, while I'm away, will be to translate Sarah's notes and song sheets into the usual DUG format.
These will appear on the website when they are ready, but I will send another email out to let you know. Meanwhile, have a look at Sarah's sheets, they contain a lot of useful and interesting notes.
 
Sarah's next workshop with us will be September 10th. The content of the workshop has not been set, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know.
 
 

Dementia Friendly Doune and Deanston

Nine of us played at the Dementia support group on Thursday.
A great big thanks to all those who turned up. We had a lovely time.
 
I managed to video the whole performance (we played 18 songs in around an hour)

Clackmannanshire Ukulele Band Workshop

DUG members are invited to a workshop with Ukulele Saz on Sunday, 31st August, 1-3pm.
For the first hour Sarah will cover skills, e.g. rhythm & chords.
The second half will build on skills learned into a new song arrangement.
There is a cost of £15 for the workshop.
