Hi DUGs,
For the next three or four weeks, our playlists will be dominated by the songs we will be performing at upcoming events.
Last week, since they are both 20-minute sets, we decided to do the same five songs at the Doune Music Night and the BraveUke Festival.
This takes some of the pressure off, as we can concentrate on just these songs.
Some of us also have a performance at Town Break Dementia on Wednesday afternoon, 30th April. For this, I think we should do the set we normally do for the Doune and the Dunblane Dementia groups with, perhaps, one or two changes.
Although the songs on the list are all familiar, particularly to those of us who have performed regularly at the Dementia groups, I think it would be prudent to put a little practice in to these too.

Play-along Videos
I have created play-along videos for the Rock 'n' Roll Medley, and Part of the Union.
These are based on recordings of our latest practice sessions.
They may be helpful for some of you to practice at home, playing along with the group!

When I get time (!), I will try to put up Play-along videos of some of the other songs.
Something I find useful when playing along with YouTube videos, is the facility to change the playback speed.
Particularly for complicated or tricky songs like the Medley.
On the YouTube window, click on the Settings icon (bottom right corner of the screen - look like a gear wheel):
Then click on Playback Speed:
Choose the speed you want to play:
I find 0.75 best for most songs, but try it slower and see how you go.
