Hi DUGs,
We welcomed another new member last week. Flora is from Doune and is a complete beginner. I'm sure you will all look after her and give her lots of encouragement.
It was great to see such a big turnout again last week. We equalled the highest attendance this year!
Loch Lomond Strumday
Gartocharn Hall, Sunday 4th October.
Tickets are now on sale for the Loch Lomond event.
The Strumday is another annual highlight on our calendar, and is always very popular. Tickets are on a first come first served basis, so I will need to let them know our numbers as soon as possible.
The format will be similar to previous years, the day starting at 10.00am and finishing at 5.30pm, with a workshop in the morning and the Open Mic and Big Strum after lunch.
Ticket price is £20, which includes the workshop from Finlay Alison and lunch + teas/coffees.
If you would like to attend, please let me know ASAP.
No need to pay just yet, I just need numbers.
But let me know, or you may be disappointed.
BraveUke
I managed to get tickets for all those who asked for them. Tickets sold out in under an hour. At one point the web site crashed due to high demand.
Playlist
I was reminded last week that I had said we should start the evenings with two or three easy songs. So, that's exactly what we will do this week... Five 2-chord songs in a row - It doesn't get any easier... and they are great songs!
I am also putting in the songs we didn't get to on last week's list.
Jambalaya
Iko Iko
Achy Breaky Heart
Dance the Night Away
Tom Dooley
El Condor Pasa
If I Had a Million Dollars
Make Me Smile
Bad Moon Rising
Man on the Moon
Wagon Wheel
Brown Eyed Girl
Budapest
Friday, I'm in Love
I'm Yours
Me and Julio

DUG Song Sheets
Now that we are no longer using printed song sheets at our meetings, all new songs will be put on the website, rather than attached to these emails. If you want to practice any of our songs, you can view/download all our songs here: Our Songs
