GlamRock

Hi DUGs,

This week's playlist has been chosen by Alex.
Some great songs, I'm sure you will agree.

Alex has also suggested a new song for us.
Break out your spandex and feather boas, we've got another Glam Rock classic (sign of a misspent youth, there, Alex! 😉 )

Just in case you don't know the song, here is a link to it:

20th Century Boy - T Rex

There is a nice little riff, throughout the song (nice and easy... honest!)
20th Century Tab
Here is a sound file of the riff - have a listen. Better still, have a go!

There is a good tutorial on YouTube:

Fiona has already sent me her choices for next week.
She has suggested a real treat for a new song - A real sing-along crowd pleaser!
Why not let me have your suggestions for a future meeting?

BraveUke

BraveUke

As I mentioned last week, we will be performing on the opening night at BraveUke in May. It is likely we will also take part in the Group Showcase on the Sunday.

I do need to know how many of us will be at the festival. I know I asked for a show of hands at last week's meeting, but, as you know, I've got a memory like one of those things they use to sift flour! Please let me know if you have a ticket.

Those of us who will be there will need to decide which songs we are going to play... and get some rehearsal time in.
I have some ideas, but am open to suggestions - please let me know.
