Hi DUGs,
I'm sorry you had issues with the tech again. We are going to have to look into these problems, particularly when I'm away. Hopefully, everything will run smoothly this week.

BraveUke Tickets

BraveUke

When the BraveUke tickets became available last year, we expected demand to be very high. And indeed, they sold out the same morning they went on sale.
DUG decided to buy three spare tickets, so that, any of our members who missed their chance could buy one later. We also have another spare ticket, as Sally, unfortunately, will not be able to use hers.

So, we have four spare tickets. I have already been approached by three or four people outside the group, asking if we have spare tickets. As the tickets cost £50 each, we don't want to be stuck with them. However, I would like to ensure that DUG members have the opportunity to get a ticket, and attend this amazing event, before we consider letting them go.

It will be first come first served, so if you are interested, PLEASE let me know as soon as possible. Thanks.

Open Mic

Kathleen, Fiona and Sally have been practising a song for us and will be performing it for us this week.

I would really like to see the Open Mic spot become a more regular feature in our meetings.
It doesn't need to be performed at a professional level (just listen to mine 😏)
You can do something on your own, or in a small group. You could introduce a new song to the group, or just play your favourite from our songbook.
If you are a bit worried about doing a solo, there are a few members who would be more than willing to get up with you to offer a bit of support.

I realise open mic will not be for everyone but I promise, if you give it a go, you will get such a buzz!

DUG Song Sheets

Now that we are no longer using printed song sheets at our meetings, all new songs will be put on the website, rather than attached to these emails. If you want to practice any of our songs, you can view/download all our songs here: Our Songs
