ADVANCE NOTICE - THERE WILL BE NO MEETING NEXT WEEK (09/07/25)
I am going to be away down in Lancashire next week, so won't be here.
Unfortunately, John Gallagher, who usually deputises, is also away.
As John is currently the only other person who can set up the projector/slide show, etc., we don't really have a choice.
Perhaps this is something we could address in the coming weeks. I've thought for a while we should have others who can set up and lead the group meetings.
We welcomed another new member last week. Keith came down from Auchterarder to join us. Keith also came along to the 'Introduction to the Ukulele' session on Saturday morning.
The second session of this block will be on Saturday, 12th July.
Workshop
This week will see the return of Sarah, running a workshop for us.
Sarah will be introducing two new songs for us to work on:
Any of us oldies who may not be familiar with the songs may like to give them a listen before the workshop.
Doune Dementia - Thursday, 4th July
We have a gig at the Doune Bowling Club on Thursday 4th for the Doune Dementia Support
We will be playing at 2pm, for around 30-40 minutes.
So far, I know we have four or five of us, but a few more would be nice. If you can make it, please come along.
The setlist will be familiar to those who have played similar gigs recently.
We may not get through all of these in the time allocated, we'll play it by ear.
