How it all started... Rewind 4 years and Tom asked his boys what they wanted for Christmas.. they said a tractor run. Tom Couldn't do it alone so asked Julia what she thought. This was 1 week before Christmas and Julia said yeah let's do it.. The first tractor run had 25 tractors and fundraising £1365 for the British Heart Foundation after Julia's other half Chris Greenwood passed away suddenly from a heart attack.

2nd Year again we fundraised for the British Heart Foundation. That year we had 65 tractors and raised £3419.42.

3rd Year we changed the charity to a local one "Candlelighters" 152 tractors lit up the valley, raising £12824.69.

4th Year we went big, the route changed with road diversions taking us through Littleborough and over Blackstone Edge and dropped down the Cragg Road. We had a massive 206 tractors with 60 volunteers and road Marshalls, collecting a fabulous amount £35,174.95 for Forget Me Not Children's Hospice.

So for our 5th Year we want to raise money for "Candlelighters and Forget Me Not". It brings the community together at a time that can sometimes be difficult and people have complimented how happy it makes them feel as well as raising the money for well deserving charities.
