Thats it! With the change in weather and the change of sports being played at the Recreation Ground, our pitches have gone as has the season..
The Croquet Club welcomes players of all standards, from "expert" to absolute beginner. On a busy evening we can have 30 plus people either playing in pairs or individually, on 1, 2 or even 3 pitches. All equipment is provided on the day
Tuition, if requested, is given in a friendly one on one way, as is the way the game is played.. No mad bashing of the competitors balls, unless you really want to!
We normally meet on a Friday evening just before 6pm, from early May till it starts getting dark again, we have been known to play with car headlights to help when it gets past dusk. Prospective members or guests are welcome to try before you join, just turn up on the night at 6pm.
But the game is only part of the club, after every match we head over to the Binsted Inn for a pint or two.. and a bite to eat...
Its a great way to meet people and start the weekend with a smile.
