As we always want to see as many local people enjoying the court as possible, we have been asked if we could consider adding Pickleball to our offering for next season. There would seem to be many Padel Tennis offerings locally, but few, if any Pickleball.
We are undertaking some reasearch as to how we can add this to the club, what we would need and any cost implications.
We would also like to get a feel of how many people would take this up, before we commit to any expense.
So what is Pickleball??
Pickleball is a racket or paddle sport in which two players (singles) or four players (doubles) use a smooth-faced paddle to hit a perforated, hollow plastic ball over a 34-inch-high (0.86 m) net until one side is unable to return the ball or commits a foul.
It can fit on an existing tennis court very easily, and with our court it would make sense to only have one pickle court.

What other equipment is needed?
You only need a bat and ball, thats it !
So we need to see if there is real interest and get a working group together..
