MARION HANDFORD

The committee's policy is not to notify the membership when a member dies, but after much consideration it has been decide that an exception should be made for Marion Handford, who gave such long and loyal service to the Bedford National Trust Association.  She was one of our founder members who joined the committee in those early years, became Vice-Chairman in 1991 then Chairman from 1992 to 1996, and she enjoyed arranging our outings and holidays from then until the last ones in 2023.  She continued to play an engaged and enthusiastic role on the committee, and guided many newcomers through the intricacies of leadership.  She was kind and generous with her advice, and we were always able to access her ideas and experiences from the past.

She will be much missed by all those who knew her over many years.
