New members are always welcome

We are a really friendly orchestra and we are always happy to hear from potential new players.

Currently we meet at St Margarets URC Church, Finchley, N3 1SA on Monday evenings during term time, from 7:30pm – 9:45pm. The nearest tube is Finchley Central which is less than 5 minutes walk away and there are plenty of buses along Regents Park Road and Hendon Lane. If you are driving then there is parking at the church and it's free on the surrounding streets. You won't be more than a couple of minutes walk away.

You do not have to audition to become a member of our orchestra. If you have achieved grade 6 or better on your preferred instrument or you have experience of playing in an orchestra then you shouldn't have too much trouble with our repertoire. All we ask is that you commit to as many rehearsals as you can each term, practise, pay your subs and enjoy playing. There is an afternoon rehearsal on the day of concert and we encourage members to bring audience to the concerts.

Like all amateur orchestras we charge a fee which is payable termly which helps to cover our costs. All new players are very welcome to come along for their first term without obligation to make sure that we are the right group for you! We do have a concession rate if you are a student, unemployed or cannot afford the full rate.

We currently have vacancies for:

Horn - and we always welcome enquiries from string players

If you would like to come along to a rehearsal to see if we are the right orchestra for you, then please get in touch with us
