‼️Excellent News for Residents and Hospital Staff on Badbury Park‼️

Work is progressing to safely improve the path from Homington Avenue to the hospital.
We Would like to thank our MP, Heidi Alexander, for her support.
The GWH Trust previously worked with Mr. Eves in 2023 on plans for a parish-funded, wheelchair- and pram-accessible ramp at the Coatside Way access point. Designs were received from Mr. Eves, and SSPC cleared the route, but no further action was taken at that time. Since then, steps and a handrail have been installed at a nearby well-used access point to improve safety.
The Trust has now requested updated quotes and designs for the original ramp and is currently seeking costs.
The Trust will raise lighting and resurfacing concerns with Swindon Borough Council and South Swindon Parish Council.
The Trust remains committed to improving accessibility and welcomes further engagement from Mr. Eves and the Badbury Park Residents’ Working Group, who can contact gwh.wayforward@nhs.net.
