A Memory from Audrey Hook, Committee Member and one of the "original" walkers

In the photo are Jane Illingworth, Audrey Hook, Eric and Janet from Hollybush.

This photo was taken by Richard Hall in October 2002 on the second walk led by Janet from Hollybush Farm, a "Walking for Health" walk. From the old Armley Sports Centre we would go round Armley Park and back for a "cuppa". Eventually more people joined and the Friday walk was added. In 2004 Hollybush left us to our own devices and West Leeds Walking Group was established. More people came forward to volunteer as walk  leaders and we now have a walk every week-day and the group has 100+ members.
