At present, any item put onto our calendar appears with a bright green background.
Is it possible to change the colour so that different types of entry can be given different colours, e.g. meetings in green, social events in red, etc?

It isn't, though it's an idea that has been raised before. I'll have a think about it and put it on the todo list. (though don't hold your breath!)
