BOULES TOURNAMENT & WELLY WANGING
On 1st May, Great Waltham Twinning Association organised a fun afternoon of boules and “welly wanging” at Great Waltham recreation ground. The winning boules team was the Bloomfield family, who are now the guardians of the Boules cup till next May.
After the boules matches, everyone had a go at “welly wanging,” which is harder than it looks, with wellies flying off in unexpected directions!
Tom Bloomfield won the men’s prize with his superb technique and Ellen Bloomfield won for the women.
Everyone tucked into the delicious home-made cakes and tea and we managed to pack up just as the rain started! Typical Bank Holiday weather!
