Ellerton & Aughton Villages

The beautiful villages of Ellerton and Aughton are set on the banks of the River Derwent near York.   Mentioned in the Domesday book, our villages are rich in history. We have castle remains, a 17th century Olde Worlde Inn, The Boot & Shoe, plus the new Half Moon micro brewery.  We hold regular village events, including traditional village fetes, fundraising events & film nights.

We hope this site will introduce you to some of the charms that Ellerton & Aughton have to offer. Take time to click through our pages and we look forward to seeing you in the near future.
