I teach two classes on a Monday morning:
9:45-10:45am Standing Pilates
Standing Pilates is performed in a standing position with all the benefits of mat Pilates. The exercises are designed to improve balance, bone health, strength, mobility and coordination. They retrain functional movement patterns, giving confidence for everyday activities. We sometimes use a chair, resistance band, weights or ball/cushion to add variety and assist or challenge the body. Suitable for those who find it difficult to get on and off the floor.
11am-12pm Move It
A fun and friendly class designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination and flexibility. The exercises help with activities of daily living and can be adapted to any level, offering seated and standing options. The programme aims to improve the quality of life and independence of older people, but anyone is welcome to join in.
