New kissing gate to replace the old stile, thanks to PROW! And a thorough clearing of the path. A further gate has been installed further along the path and the overgrowth cut back so that the path connecting with Walsh Hall is accessible. We intend to use this path on a forthcoming walk.
On 3 March 2025, Chris R reported an issue in Downholland. From Greens Lane, she proceeded to FP0804032. Not far along, the path was completely blocked by a wooden fence and overgrowth.
PROW replied with REPORT REFERENCE: PRW-155082. A site visit has been undertaken and the line of the footpath clarified. The wooden fence seen by Chris R is actually a very overgrown stile!
PROW subsequently made several attempts to effect the repairs and the pleasing results can be seen on the photos below.
