An issue was reported to PROW regarding access to FP0818131, known as White House Lane. Although clearly shown as a public footpath on both the LCC and OS maps, this path has been barred by a metal gate and a sign on the gate says it is a private road with no public access.
LCC have replied with reference number PRW-149736.
Update 11 May 2024
On a recent walk near White House Lane (FP0818131), Chris R noticed that the gate is now open and the footpath accessible. We are unsure if this is the result of intervention by the council but it is pleasing to note that access is now restored.
