Another good choice of venue,the open air market being just a short walk from the station where we availed ourselves of a selection of excellent cheeses.The cheesemaster originally hailed from Liverpool but had lived in Clitheroe for decades he recommended the New Inn as the best pub there,and we did indeed meet him,the butcher and another legendary character.
As usual the local pie shop furnished us with superlative products and the beers sampled were once again top notch. PK was staying locally and had done a recce of the town and carefully guided us to Holmes Mill,home of the Bowland Brewery and a truly magnificent food emporium,with on Tuesday only many quality beers f
