THANKSGIVING EVENT FOR THE 80th. ANNIVERSARY OF VE DAY AND COMMEMORATION OF THE FALLEN OF THE AMERICAN 391st. BOMBARDMENT GROUP
During the second world war, there was an airfield near Matching Green and the American 391st. Bombardment Group flew missions from there. A number of their fallen are remembered on memorials in the church.
On 4th. May 2025, we are planning to hold a thanksgiving event at the remains of the airfield. This will include a religious service in the old hospital building, various displays, guided tours and refreshments.

ART AND ANTIQUES VALUATION EVENT
On Saturday 5 July 2025, with the support of the local auction house Sworders, we will be holding a valuation event in the church. You will be able to come along to have your items valued by experts from Sworders for a small fee. If you wish, Sworders will then sell your item in one of their auctions. More details will be announced later.
