SPECIAL CLASSES

  1. Sponsored plant grown in pot maximum 6” diameter
  2. A handled basket of chrysanthemums with any foliage. To be viewed from the front only and judged for decorative effect. Exhibitors to provide baskets which must be capable of being lifted by the handles without disturbing the arrangement.

SPECIAL CLASSES 38-40 Maximum 10 stems in classes 38-39

  1. A vase of mixed seasonal foliage/berries/seedheads
  2. A vase of seasonal foliage and garden flowers
  3. A vase of 5 stems of garden flowers

FLORAL ART (Entries must be received 48 hours before show day)

Flowers etc need not have been grown by the Exhibitor. The use of artificial material is prohibited unless stated.

All entries apart from Class 43 must be staged in Marble Place on Friday 24 October and cannot be arranged at home.

PUMPKINS Need not have been grown by the exhibitor. 

Children aged 12 or under on the date of the show

  1. A decorated pumpkin to include foliage and berries. Candles not permitted.

We recommend that all children are supervised by a parent or carer.

Adults

  1. Wow factor in a pumpkin. Using a pumpkin as a container. 
  2. An Autumn arrangement in a hollowed-out pumpkin with no more than 10 stems of seasonal foliage, berries, seedheads and flowers from the exhibitor’s garden.

COOKERY, CRAFTS AND PHOTOGRAPHY (All cake decorations to be homemade). Entries to be displayed on plates provided by the society. To be judged on taste unless stated. All cookery entries will be covered after judging. Photography prints may be trade processed and digital images are permitted. Collages permitted.

  1. 3 honey and apple scones
  2. A honey loaf (8×4 inch tin)
  3. An 8 inch beetroot and chocolate cake with bee themed decoration. To be judged on decoration.
  4. A jar of fruit jam made with honey

CHILDREN Aged 12 or under on the date of the show

  1. Flowers arranged in a homemade tin can container with a bee theme.

ADULTS

  1. A knitted jumper for a baby featuring a bee

88a. 3 crocheted bees (maximum size of each bee 8" (20cm) long, 6" (15cm) diameter)

88b. Cut and home grown flowers and foliage displayed in a tea cup with maximum diameter 4” (10cm). (Can be arranged at home)

  1. Bees and flowers in papercraft (not to be made from a kit and must be less than 12" (31cm) square)
  2. A birthday card with a bee theme (not to be made from a kit)
  3. A knitted bee hive (no larger than 12” (30cm) in height)
