We start 2026 with a talk by Stephen Gore.
He has worked for the past nine years as the head gardener at Stretton Old Hall in Cheshire, and has been a notable contributor to the National Garden Scheme during that time, which saw the gardens crowned Garden of the Year, a well deserved accolade as anybody who has visited the gardens will understand.
A timely project has been the development of a scree garden designed with hot dry summers in mind, and though this will be a winter talk we shall all be interested to hear how the garden developed, and how it coped with the extreme conditions that we have had in 2025.
Stephen now intends to pursue a new career as a freelance gardener and adviser and we will be delighted to have this talk at the start of his new venture which we will be watching with great interest.
