Highways England Update - A1 road closures 28th August to 31st August

Highways England will be carrying out investigations along the A1 between Biggleswade North to Black Cat

Highways England's roadwork schedule installing Average Speed Cameras on the A1 North and Southbound between Biggleswade South and the Black Cat roundabout.

Drivers using their mobile phone to pay-to-park in Central Bedfordshire car parks will need to register with a new provider from 16 January.

JustPark will be taking over the Central Bedfordshire Council contract from current provider RingGo

Following the A428 consultation earlier this year, our assessment work has shown us that we need to better understand any potential changes from the A1 East of England study, which is due to complete by the end of 2017. To this effect we have decided to postpone the scheme's preferred route announcement so we can incorporate any conclusions from the study into our analysis and deliver the best long term solution we can. The SG19 ROAD SAFETY ACTION GROUP had their first meeting with the Central Beds Council on Thursday 19th December at the central beds office Chicksands.

Sandy's Annual Town Meeting will take place on Monday 12 May 2014 at 7.30 pm at Sandy Upper School. Everyone who lives and works in the town is welcome to attend and have their say about their community.
