Newrad Fisheries Club was established in 1981 by a small group of local anglers. Watery Lane Lodges was historically used as mill lodges supplying water to paper and calico production mills lower down in 'Vale Back'

Originally 4 lodges only 2 remained by the time Newrad acquired the site.

The waters contain a selection of course fish including Roach, Rudd, Tench, Bream, Chub, Crucian Carp, Gudgeon, Perch, Ide, Common & Mirror Carp

Newrad Fisheries also hold fishing lessons and have a fishing club for youngsters in the area

With day tickets and season tickets available at very reasonable cost there is something for most anglers at Newrad Fisheries.

The site also features a small tackle shop and toilet facilities.
